Black Doll’s Are Available If You Know Where To Look
Inspired Blog of the Day is :
>>>>>Black Doll Collecting Blog<<<<<

There has always been an importance when it comes to toys that can reflect the diversity of our society. It mainly comes across when we look at toy dolls in particular. Black parents want to be able to purchase black dolls for their children, having a toy doll that reflects their own colour is important and parents want this more and more. I do agree with the black toy doll being better for a black child than having a European doll. However this wanting of a black doll has been going on for a while, I’m 34 and when I was 4 I was given a black baby doll as a Christmas gift from my mother’s Europeans friend, even he saw the importance, to this day I still have my baby doll. My question to the parents who are asking and wanting black dolls is this, if you really want something, you do have the capability of finding it.
I have been receiving blog updates for the past 3 months from a lady who loves black dolls, her love for them has turned her into a collector or as she likes to call herself and rightfully so a ‘Black Doll Enthusiast’. She’s also an author and has written THE BOOK ‘The Definitive Guide to Collecting Black Dolls’ and ‘Black Dolls: A Comprehensive Guide to Celebrating, Collecting, and Experiencing the Passion’.
I have viewed her blog pages featuring so many different black dolls, that I wait for her next pages to be sent to my Google reader. What shocked me was the amount of black dolls she actually had, yet people say they can’t find a black doll for their children. For those black parents who still strive to attain black dolls, let me merely say, this lady who collectors them, has found them and if she can find them so can anyone else.

I would like to thank you Debbie Behan Garrett, for because of you I have the great pleasure of saying I have seen Black Barbie and Black Barbie’s Black Boyfriends, Information about Black Doll History, Boogie Beach dolls, Michael Jackson dolls, Sisterhood dolls, A Black Military Figure doll for the boys, Disco Queen, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Barbie, An handsome Parajumper, the best of all was Michelle Obama Inaugural doll. I knew there where doll collectors somewhere but to find a black doll collector is just something special.

Debbie and her blog called ‘blackdollcollecting.blogspot.com‘ has opened my eyes to an unseen the world of black dolls. Its people like Debbie who inspires me to look further outside box and who educates me about a subject I wasn’t even looking to learn. I wish I could share some images of Debbie and her dolls with you but I need permission, would like to Thank Debbie for sending me some great images, and you can also pop over to her site and see all the other doll images for yourself. You’ll love it. For me it’s like walk around a black doll museum while sitting in my living room.
