Time to Share via My Photoshop Badge – You Like :)

It is 2010 and I have decided to let others know when they have made me happy, inspired me or simply made me smile.
It started with a blog I’ve been following for the past 4 months via Google reader, I thought instead of merely writing a post and linking back to the blog, I wanted to do a little more. I learnt something new from this blog and to come to think of it she has educated me, on a subject I didn’t really think about but her take on the subject made it an easy read, easy to understand and enjoyable.
I’m not speaking anything new here; we know that’s what the internet is all about. We browse many pages in this cyberspace and then when we read, we get educated on the new, expand on what we already know and walking down memory lane with the past and the old.
Anyway back to my sharing the love. So what I did thanks to psdgraphics.com/psd/gold-guarantee-seal who are kindly giving away a free gold seal Photoshop template, I customised the template for my own needs and Voila! You Like, Yes.
So this is my game plan for 2010, when I come across a blog or site that inspires me or simply makes me smile, first I going to create a feature post about the blog, stating why they deserve one of my vow badges, (vow stand for vine of words my url). Then I will write a worthily comment on their space, while letting them know about my post and then I will give them the badge. Hopefully they will display it on their blog or website, not for a link back but to show other that someone actually went out of there way to show appreciation of their work. If they decide not to display it, that’s up to them but I would have done my part.
We all know that telling someone that they did a good job and that you liked their work is a very positive and uplifting feeling. I am just going that one step further by actioning my words. I would love to receive a badge or seal of some kind from those who read my blog or the other projects I do, hint, hint. Seriously life is too short to pass people by and not say how they have affected us, especially if it’s in a positive way. I remember when I first started writing or blogging as other call it. I wasn’t sure what to write but I just decided to use it as a diary, journal and way of sharing what I knew, what I have learnt and more. Since then it has evolved into something, not sure what to call it but I am loving it. My point is in the past I have come across blog which when you look at the archive list are fairly new, yet I could see their passion in what they were writing or I learnt something from what they were sharing. Even if it was something small, I should have told them. Be honest, yeah I’m talking to you, how many blogs have to been to and read something, which was useful to you and merely moved along to another blog. Just closed it down and forgot about it. The thing is even though you closed down that blog and you probably would not even remember the name of the blog I bet you remember what you read, for it was what you needed or may not have need but still you absorbed. That person who took the time to write it in their blog does not know that their information was helpful, but if they did they would be grateful to know that you told them.
I have read about people leaving one line comments on blogs merely for back linking purposes, I too don’t usually accept one liners, unless I check out their blog or site and see what they are about. But for me if I am going to leave a comment then a one liner is never enough for me to express what I want to say. If you really have read a blog post then your comment will reflect what you have read and your opinion on the subject. It’s actually quicker to write something real and honest than pretending to just for back linking purposes. O.k. I may have gone off subject a bit but what I wanted to say was it does not matter how small the information you have gotten from a blog or site let them know. You could even make a badge like mine. Imagine a cyberspace that even blog you went to on a regular basis was showing your blog badge, how cool would that be. Of course display your badge in your side bar and say something like, if I like a blog I will feature it here and give you a badge. That’s what I will do now.
Tell others, who inspire you, educate you, make you smile, that they did it.
